I thought I would be different and post a toned B&W sun flare photo. I would liked to have captured the subjects in the frame a little differently, but I like the feel of the photo.

Plan ahead- Christmas Layout Idea

While "shopping" over coffee this morning, I saw this layout and it gave me an idea...

This would be a great way to scrap the gift tags from your Christmas packages. I have always thought the gift tags were charming and hated to throw them out. And often, they contain sentiment. (or homemade art)

you could lay them out and scan them or carefully photograph them, or go hybrid and use the real thing.

Capturing the year's gift wrap would be great for posterity too.

Sepia challenge

This was a raw edit that needed help. It was a spontaneous shoot with the very last light of the day. I played so much with this it's hard to recall. As a final step I did a bit of selective dodging to deepen the shadows in areas.
